'Just Naw' - David Edgar cannot believe what Clement just said about Rangers

David Edgar has hit back at Philippe Clement after what he said about Rangers and their upcoming games against Tottenham and Celtic.

After cruising to a 3-0 win at Ross County on 8 December, the Belgian admitted the games this week are against teams out of the Bears league financially.

Edgar, the Heart & Hand Podcaster, could not believe what Clement was saying ahead of the huge week in terms of his future at Ibrox.

Writing on X, he simply said: “Just naw.”

Philippe Clement makes Rangers excuses already

There was a real positive feel around Rangers after the huge win at Ross County followed the demolition job of Kilmarnock at Ibrox last time out.

Clement managed to strip that away with just one sentence, as he appeared to blame finances before even taking on Tottenham and Celtic, who have both looked fragile recently.

Anything can happen at Ibrox on a European night, and at Hampden Park in a cup final so there is no need to be making comments like this only days before.

Derek Ferguson hit out at Clement for making apparent excuses before the win over Ross County, so he will not have been happy to see this happy either.

The manager clearly needs a reminder of which club he is in charge of, as that would never have been said by the likes of Walter Smith, no matter who the opponent is.

Hopefully, this isn’t the message to the squad, who are playing magnificently right now.
