'Keep an eye': Newcastle have genuine interest in £25m right-back with Kieran Trippier wanting to leave
Tottenham are also interested...
Newcastle United have made five additions so far this window and are now close to adding a sixth before deadline day on August 30th.
Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is close to joining Newcastle for a club-record fee after an impressive Euro 2024 campaign with England.
Guehi is expected to cost north of £60m which will eclipse the fee the Magpies paid for Alexander Isak two summers ago.
Once that deal is over the line, Newcastle may be forced back into the market as Kieran Trippier wants to leave with Everton keen on signing him.

Newcastle have a genuine interest in Michael Kayode
Newcastle United could lose Kieran Trippier in the remaining eight days of the window and it appears the club have already identified a replacement.
According to journalist Joel Bland, the Tynesiders have a genuine interest in Fiorentina right-back Michael Kayode.
Bland noted that Kayode is one to ‘keep an eye on’, though, it seems he’s a target for future transfer windows, rather than this month.
Tottenham are also keen on Kayode whilst Aston Villa saw a bid rejected for the 20-year-old earlier in the summer.
Tino Livramento will become first-choice right back at Newcastle
Tino Livramento, who completed a £30m-plus switch from Southampton last summer, is now expected to become the first-choice right-back this season.
Livramento started in the 1-0 win against Southampton on the weekend with Trippier named on the bench.
The 21-year-old will be hoping to establish himself as a key figure under Howe with scope to become an England international.
