King delighted as Tottenham prepare push to sign 'Outstanding' PL attacker

Bryan King believes Tottenham are no longer interested in a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

The ex-Spurs scout feels that the club will now look to sign Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze instead.

Tottenham have long been linked with a move for Gallagher [The Evening Standard, 19 June].

However, as reported by The Times (28 June), the North London club plan to intensify their pursuit of Eze once the European Championship is over.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t see both players being signed.

“It appears as if Tottenham have moved away from a deal for Gallagher,” King said.

“Eze is a player who I have liked since he was with QPR. I remember I watched him play against Millwall and I thought he was an outstanding player.

“I’d imagine that he will be looking to step into European football, which he would have the opportunity to do if he were to move to Tottenham.

“Most importantly, when you’re talking about big clubs in London, Spurs are bigger than Crystal Palace.”

Will Tottenham sign Eberechi Eze instead of Conor Gallagher?

Plenty of Spurs supporters will be baffled as to why Eze and Gallagher can’t both be signed.

They’re different players who offer very different things in midfield. Eze is a much more creative threat who can also play further forward, while Gallagher is a hard-working player who keeps things ticking.

If Ange Postecoglou was to have both players available to him next season, Spurs’ performance levels would no doubt improve.

However, signing the duo would likely cost over £100million, which is where the issue lies.

Daniel Levy is unlikely to sanction both signings. As a result, it looks as if it will be one or the other.
