King reacts as agreement close in Belgium for Tottenham-bound wonderkid

Bryan King believes Luka Vuskovic will train with the first team when he arrives at Tottenham.

The ex-Spurs scout claims it is good for the 17-year-old defender to continue playing senior football.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano via X (15 June), Vuskovic is on the verge of joining Belgian outfit Westerlo on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.

Vuskovic will join Tottenham from Hajduk Split in the summer of 25 after he has turned 18.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels his time in Belgium will serve him well.

“I think it will be better for him than playing youth football,” King said.

“Once he joins Spurs, they will expect him to train with the first team.

“He will be playing senior football with Westerlo in Belgium which will certainly give him some good experience.”

As revealed exclusively by Tottenham News earlier this year (20 March), Vuskovic is set for a fresh loan move to a different European league after his time in Poland during the 2023/24 campaign.

The highly-rated centre-back will arrive in North London with plenty of top-flight football already under his belt at the age of 18.

He impressed while in Poland and Ange Postecoglou will likely be keen to get him involved as quickly as possible.

With Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero already at the club, as well as promising youngsters Ashley Phillips and Alfie Dorrington, Spurs’ centre-back options looked sorted for the next decade.

In other Tottenham news, the club will agree a £15million deal for one midfielder.
