King shares Everton takeover verdict after £200m development at Goodison Park

Bryan King is optimistic that Dan Friedkin is the right man to help Everton get back on track.

The ex-Goodison scout claims that Friedkin looks to be someone who could bring stability to the club.

It comes after The Independent reported (22 June) that the Friedkin Group have invested £200million into Everton to repay a loan and provide working capital for the Toffees.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – is hopeful that the club’s prospective new owners will offer a long-term solution.

“Everton need stability and if Friedkin is going to provide that, then that is a relief,” King said.

“He does look as though he could be a serious owner, but it has got to be right for Everton. This needs to be a long-term investment.

“Friedkin can’t come in and try and sell the club in a few years again like Moshiri has done. Hopefully, he has got the money and know-how to put the club back where it should be.”

Will Dan Friedkin and the Friedkin Group help get Everton back on track?

Supporters at Goodison Park don’t demand a lot.

They don’t expect to see the Toffees competing for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League every season. However, what they do expect is an owner who will run the club efficiently.

Someone who will come in and ensure that the team are progressing rather than fighting relegation.

In addition, someone who will make sure that the club don’t find themselves in continuous financial trouble.

Everton supporters will be feeling slightly more optimistic

Hopefully, Friedkin can be that someone, and luckily for Everton supporters, the early signs are promising.

In other Everton news, a Sean Dyche exit verdict has emerged after an official club announcement.
