King urges Everton to sign PL forward before Friday after transfer twist emerges elsewhere

Bryan King has urged Everton to go out and sign Armando Broja from Chelsea with the striker’s move to Ipswich Town hanging in the balance.

The ex-Goodison scout claims the Toffees need to fulfil Dyche’s transfer wishes.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano via his Daily Briefing (25 August), Chelsea and Broja are exploring different options with the 22-year-old’s move to Ipswich Town in danger. Everton are one of the clubs interested in the player but are yet to make an approach.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes this will be an interesting week at Goodison Park.

“This is what Dyche wants, so go for it,” King said.

“If Dyche thinks this player is what the squad needs, then they need to go out and sign him. At the moment, they look a little bit tired and weary.

“That is a worry because they have only played two matches. It will be interesting to see what happens this week.”

Everton to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja before 30 August?

It is no secret that the Everton squad is in desperate need of reinforcements.

The Toffees have lost both of their Premier League matches thus far this season, conceding seven goals without reply.

Therefore, improvements are clearly needed at both ends of the pitch, and Broja could be a viable option to lead the line at Goodison Park.

Chelsea are keen to offload the player and as the week goes on they might start to become more desperate at Stamford Bridge.

As a result, Everton might have the opportunity to sign Broja for a reduced fee, which would certainly suit the club considering their current financial difficulties.

In other Everton news, one player has made a transfer plea following the club’s defeat at Tottenham.
