Kulusevski sends message as crushing Tottenham injury blow revealed

Dejan Kulusevski has sent a message to Guglielmo Vicario after the Tottenham goalkeeper revealed the severity of his ankle injury.

The Italy international suffered a blow against Manchester City on Saturday (23 November) and featured for 60 minutes with a broken bone.

The 28-year-old has since had surgery to correct the issue before taking to Instagram (25 November) to provide Spurs supporters with an update.

Reacting to this news, Kulusevski sent his love to the shot-stopper with a love heart emoji.

Dominic Solanke followed suit while James Maddison said: “Back soon brother”.

The goalkeeper has come under scrutiny at times this season with his presence in the box questioned, particularly in the North London Derby earlier in the year.

Vicario isn’t perfect but is still up there with one of the best number one’s in the Premier League and this injury will represent a huge blow for Ange Postecoglou.

This will force the Australian into starting with either Fraser Forster or Alfie Whiteman which certainly represents a drop in quality.

After such a positive result against Manchester City, this is a sickening blow but just feels representative of the season so far with one step forward and one back.

Although supporters will be gutted by the news, it is clear that the Italian has the backing of his teammates which is a plus.

Kulusevski has led the way with well wishes and Spurs fans will be hoping that the attacking midfielder doesn’t suffer an issue as his own after such a positive season so far.
