Leeds fans blown away by 'amazing' Brenden Aaronson after what he did v Cardiff

Leeds United fans were left stunned by Brenden Aaronson after his performance in the victory v Cardiff City on 21 September.

Daniel Farke’s side bounced back from their disappointment against Burnley to secure a 2-0 win at the Cardiff City Stadium thanks to goals from Largie Ramazani and Joel Piroe.

There were a number of outstanding performers on the day for Leeds, but one who stood out to many supporters was Aaronson.

The USA international had endured a tough start to the season as fans expressed their grievances about the way he left on loan following their relegation from the Premier League.

In the summer of 2023, several big-name players left the club in the immediate aftermath of their relegation, and fans have not forgotten what they felt was a betrayal.

He had even been subjected to boos during the club’s final friendly outing at Elland Road against Valencia, much to the disappointment of his teammates.

However, the attacking midfielder’s performances on the pitch are slowly beginning to win over any doubters, with fans now singing his praises.

Aaronson picked up an assist in the 2-0 victory to take his tally to two goals and one assist in six league games so far – averaging a goal contribution every other game.

While there is still plenty of room for improvement – particularly with regard to his finishing as he missed another big chance v Cardiff – he has played a crucial role for Leeds already this season.

Now, supporters have taken to social media with high praise for his performance as they labelled him “amazing” and “excellent”.
