Leeds fans: Wilfried Gnonto to leave for '£30m' after new bid

Leeds United fans are expecting Wilfried Gnonto to leave Elland Road before the transfer window closes after a new development.

Reports claimed that Leeds have rejected a £23million bid from Everton for the Italian winger, and hope to keep him at the club beyond the transfer window.

However, fans have grown distrustful of 49ers Enterprises after losing key players already this summer, and now believe Gnonto could be next.

It has been suggested that the story has been placed in the media to circulate Gnonto’s name and drive up interest which had appeared to dip.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Leeds are still expecting at least one of their star players to follow Crysencio Summerville out of the door.

Sources say Everton remain keen on the winger despite the arrival of Jesper Lindstrom.

Gnonto caused an uproar at Elland Road when he went on strike in an attempt to force through a move to Everton last summer, and their interest has re-emerged this year.

While Leeds have turned down offers so far, fans are expecting one to be accepted, with the club trying to drum up interest.

This comes after the sales of Summerville and Archie Gray earlier this summer, with supporters growing frustrated at their powers.
