Lilywhite Rose raves about 'Fantastic' 18y/o Tottenham gem, loan move speculated

John Wenham expects Leo Black to leave Tottenham on a season-long loan next summer.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has been impressed with the 18-year-old’s progress this season.

Black recently featured in both of England Under-19s’ matches during the November international break as he continues his development.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks the youngster could soon be a perfect option for Ange Postecoglou’s first-team squad.

“Black is making really good progress at the club,” Wenham said.

“He’s also establishing himself in the England Under-19s team, showing his versatility playing both as a right-back and right-winger.

“Therefore, I think he will be a fantastic option for the first-team squad at Tottenham moving forward.

“He just needs to continue his development. I think he will continue playing with the Under-21s this year before heading out on loan next summer for a full season.”

Leo Black to leave Tottenham on loan next summer?

It appears as though Spurs have high hopes for Black, with Wenham recently revealing that the Under-21s gem has signed a long-term deal in North London.

As a result, it has even been speculated that he could make his first-team debut for the club this term.

However, Spurs and Postecoglou won’t want to rush the progress of this talented young player.

Therefore, it sounds as though having him continue to play with the Under-21s before sending him out on loan after he has turned 19 might be the perfect thing to do.
