Man City loan star Yan Couto’s partner Mariana David posted a confusing image in support on social media.
The 22-year-old joined German giants Borussia Dortmund from the Premier League champions over the summer.
The Brazil international hasn’t played a minute for Man City since joining from Brazillian club Coritiba back in 2020.
He has, however, spent three years at City group club Girona, helping them qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history last season.
His impressive form for Girona earned him a move to Dortmund, and he made his Champions League debut in their 3-0 win over Club Brugge, coming on as a substitute for the last three minutes.
Man City man Yan Cuoto in social media confusion
During the game, Cuoto’s partner took to Instagram to show her support but one Dortmund fan called her out for not posting a real picture of the game.
Whether it’s from a video game or a different match between the two sides, it’s certainly not from the game as Dortmund wore a different kit in their game on Wednesday (September 18).
Once the allegations were made, the post was hastily deleted adding fuel to the fire that David had faked her support for her partner.
Cuoto’s parent club next face a potential early title decider against Arsenal as they seek to lift their fifth consecutive Premier League trophy.
In other news, Man City tipped to sign Jamal Musiala and another Bundesliga star.
