Erling Haaland’s dreams of a future exit from Man City but currently wants to stay at the Etihad, according to Sky Sports Germany.
Negotiations between the star striker and the Premier League champions over a new mega contract are ongoing, and there is optimism of a deal being reached after several rounds of negotiations with agent Rafaela Pimenta.
According to Sky Germany, the Norwegian is keen to stay in Manchester for the foreseeable future, prioritising his current chapter with the club before considering his next career move, but still has his eye on joining either Barcelona or Real Madrid further down the line as reported by Football Insider.
Reaching an agreement on salary is unlikely to be a stumbling block as City are prepared to make the 24-year-old the highest-paid player in England with a mega-contract worth around €30million [£25m] per year, a significant rise of €5m [£4.2m] his current deal which is on a par with Kevin de Bruyne.
But the key issue in the negotiations is a potential release clause as the forward eyes a possible escape route to feature in El Clasico.

Standing over six foot four [Premier League], Haaland fits the profile of a traditional target man forward, capable of dominating defenders in the air, holding up play, and finishing crosses.
While these attributes are certainly part of his game it’s his pace and raw power that truly set him apart as a unique striker in modern football.
City’s talisman was the quickest player ever to reach 75 Premier League goals, taking just 77 matches and he has also broke the record for most goals in a single Premier League season in his debut campaign in England, scoring 36 goals in his 35 appearances.
Since arriving at the club, the prolific striker has played a key role in Manchester City’s achievements, securing two consecutive Premier League titles, and a continental treble in his debut season.
It is crucial that City’s star striker remains at the club as his unique abilities will be essential for sustaining the Citizens dominance in the coming years.
