Man United fans blame Marcus Rashford for teammate Alejandro Garnacho’s horror miss in their win over Fulham.

Man United emerged as 1-0 winners in their opening day game against Fulham thanks to an 87th-minute goal from new signing Joshua Zirkzee.

Garnacho, 20, had a brilliant opportunity to double their lead in the dying minutes but scuffed his shot with the goal wide open.

Rashford, 26, was the one who unselfishly set the youngster up, pouncing on Fulham centre-back Calvin Bassey’s defensive mishap.

Garnacho came off the bench to assist Zirkzee, his cameo appearance building on his impressive performance against Manchester City in the Community Shield.

However, he missed the golden opportunity to make it 2-0, sending the ball wide and collapsing to the hallowed Old Trafford turf in disbelief.

Garnacho was visibly devastated after the game, but Rashford is the one who caught the ire of Man United fans on social media.

Absolutely no one on this planet can convince me that Rashford shouldn't be playing a perfectly weighted pass in this area behind the keeper and ahead of Garnacho
