Medical complete: New Everton transfer 'Guaranteed' - Fabrizio Romano

Iliman Ndiaye has completed his Everton medical with a transfer now ‘Guaranteed’, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on his Playback stream (26 June), the reliable journalist was responding to fan questions about the transfer window and was asked for news about the Toffees.

And Romano revealed that the 24-year-old forward is set to complete his move to Goodison Park for a deal worth around £20million.

“Everton news, today Iliman Ndiaye completed his medical,” he said. “So this is guaranteed, the here we go is confirmed.”

Sean Dyche spoke about the importance of Everton getting their transfer business done early and also finding a way to strengthen the squad, despite the financial situation of the club.

But so far the club have been able to keep hold of the top players and also strengthen the squad with Tim Iroegbunam coming in, Jack Harrison returning on another season-long loan and now Ndiaye close to signing.

Ndiaye will bring fresh qualities to the squad, but it may also now strengthen the chances of Dominic Calvert-Lewin leaving the club at some point during the transfer window.

The 27-year-old saw a move to Newcastle collapse this week, but a deal isn’t totally dead and as the window progresses he could end up moving on too.

But for once, the club are being pro-active in the market and ensuring they won’t be left short at all once the season starts and Kevin Thelwell deserves some credit for getting this one over the line early.

In other Everton news, one player has rejected a new deal at Goodison Park and looks set to leave the club.
