Medical update emerges as Rangers eye another first-team transfer - journalist

AS FAR striker Hamza Igamane is not understood to be close to moving to Rangers despite a five-year contract agreement, according to Hanif Ben Barkane.

The Foot Mercato journalist reported on 22 June that reports of him joining for £2.5million [Kora Maroc] are understood to be false and he’s also not undergone his medical, as claimed by the Scottish Sun on 22 June.

However, he does not have his visa yet to move to Ibrox and is yet to sign the paperwork for the transfer.

Via Twitter, Barkane wrote: “Info Hamza Igamane

“5 year contract for Igamane at Rangers BUT the amount of €3million announced is false.

“It is still far from being completed since the player has not had his medical examination and does not yet have his visa. No signature yet.”

Rangers unlikely to sea Hamza Igamane transfer imminently

Rangers are unlikely to announce the signing of Igamane in the next week as firstly, the reported transfer fee of €3million is incorrect, which suggests that negotiations may still be ongoing or facing complications.

The 21-year-old has not yet undergone a medical examination, a crucial step in finalising any transfer.

Additionally, he does not have his visa yet, which is essential for him to join the club and play in Scotland.

These unresolved issues indicate that the transfer process is far from complete, making an imminent announcement unlikely.

Gers and Igamane will need to address these hurdles before the signing can be officially announced.

This does not necessarily mean that a deal is off, far from it, as he’s already agreed on a long-term contract at Ibrox.
