Ewan Murray has called out BBC Scotland for spending the lead-up to the 3pm games on Saturday talking about Rangers.
Gers’ managerial situation was scrutinised on BBC Sportscene, with Philippe Clement under pressure after the 2-1 loss to Aberdeen on 30 October.
The Light Blues are set to play St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on 3 November, and journalist Murray expressed his confusion on his official X account about the BBC show focusing on the Bears rather than the day’s fixtures.
Rangers in turmoil under Philippe Clement
Clement has not done himself any favours this season, with Rangers considerably behind Aberdeen and Celtic in the league table.
Gers have not been convincing in their last three fixtures in the league, losing two games and just getting past St Mirren.
That has led to chatter around the Belgian’s suitability in the Light Blues’ dugout, with many slamming his comments after the Aberdeen defeat.
Rangers have a lot of issues to deal with, as the attack hasn’t been potent enough, and the defence has leaked many goals.
The patience of the Ibrox faithful won’t last if Clement continues failing to get positive results in the coming fixtures.
It wouldn’t have surprised many had the Belgian been sacked after the recent poor performances, and the manager must know that he’s on thin ice at Ibrox.
The cup semi-final is a chance for Clement to drown the noise around his future with a win, but with the way things are going, it doesn’t seem like he’s capable of motivating the players any longer.
