Napoli winger Jesper Lindstrom is expected to complete his Everton medical in the “next few hours”, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian journalist reported on 23 July that the 24-year-old attacking midfielder will be finalising his transfer on Tuesday.
He will join on a £2.5million loan deal with a buy rate set at £18.5million and he will follow Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam through the door.
Sean Dyche must get the best out of Jesper Lindstrom at Everton
Sean Dyche will undoubtedly be excited to work with Lindstrom and he can stake a claim for starting on the left wing or even as a number 10.
Last season Abdoulaye Doucoure played the number 10 role and rather than being an offensive threat, he was mainly there for his work-rate.
Having Lindstrom there will make this Everton side much easier on the eye in the final third and hopefully, it will bring the best out of whoever is leading the line.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has predominantly been used as a target man and the 24-year-old’s arrival could see him playing a more dynamic role.
Dyche will be delighted with the club’s ability to pull off this deal and the onus will now be on him to get the best out of the Denmark international.
Hopefully, this deal ensures that the Toffees are comfortably clear of relegation danger and can focus on loftier ambitions.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has issued a claim on Kevin Malone as a fresh twist has emerged with regards to the club’s takeover.
