'One to watch' - Youth Expert gushes over academy sensation, Tottenham hold 'Huge hopes'

John Wenham claims 17-year-old Callum Olusesi is “one to watch out for” at Tottenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has revealed the North London club hold “huge hopes” for the young midfielder.

Olusesi has featured regularly for Spurs’ Under-21s this season, scoring three goals in six Premier League 2 appearances. He is also making a name for himself on the international stage, recently shining for England’s Under-18s.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is delighted to see the progress Olusesi is making.

“Olusesi has gone straight into the England Under-18s,” Wenham said.

“He’s playing a year up and doing well. He flies under the radar because of the progress of other players. However, I know Tottenham have huge hopes for him.

“He was playing in the Youth Champions League at the age of 15, the same as Mikey Moore. He is one to watch out for, and I’m pleased that he’s getting recognition with England.”

Callum Olusesi to thrive at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou?

Olusesi is already playing well ahead of his years. Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Ange Postecoglou reward the youngster at some point soon.

Mikey Moore is already making a first-team impact, and he is the same age as Olusesi. As a result, that is proof to the Spurs youngster that if he keeps working hard and making an impression, then Postecoglou will hand him a chance.

Wenham has previously speculated that Olusesi could leave on loan in January. However, for now, he continues to do his talking in North London, as excitement builds.
