O'Rourke Exclusive: Significant Newcastle & Semenyo update tonight

Bournemouth are susceptible to losing star man Antoine Semenyo amid interest from Newcastle United, sources have told Football Insider.

That is despite the 24-year-old only signing a fresh five-year deal with the Cherries in July.

Newcastle, Tottenham and Arsenal are among the clubs monitoring Semenyo’s situation on the south coast after his impressive start to the 2024-25 campaign.

Sources say Bournemouth are likely to be powerless to avoid bigger fish stealing the Ghana international away if his good form continues – with interest from top clubs “no surprise”.

He has started all seven of the Cherries’ Premier League fixtures so far this term, notching three goals and one assist.

Semenyo joined the club from Bristol City in January 2023 and has now scored 12 goals in 55 games at the Vitality Stadium.

The 24-year-old is now an experienced international with Ghana, notching two goals in 21 games since making his senior debut in June 2022.

He primarily plays as a right winger but can also line up on the left and as a centre-forward.

Newcastle are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements to bolster their ranks as they look to become an established power in English football.

Meanwhile, Tottenham raided Bournemouth in the summer window to land Dominic Solanke for a reported fee of £65million.
