Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke’s current injury is not too serious despite him missing the game against Everton on 24 August, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his fitness record in the past suggests that the 26-year-old is a good signing in terms of his availability.
He made his full Spurs debut against Leicester but did not begin life at his new club with a goal.
Discussing the state of play with Solanke exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“Based on his age and injury record, this certainly looks like a good signing.
“The current one is a minor setback which is nothing to worry about.
“Tottenham would have still been on the look out for anything outside the norm on his medicals and before signing him.
“However, his track record speaks pretty much for itself and this is a good signing in terms of his fitness record.“
Tottenham made the right decision to sign Dominic Solanke
Solanke’s proven goal-scoring record at Bournemouth, especially his 2023-24 season, demonstrates his capability in the Premier League, which is crucial for a team aiming to compete at the top.
His signing addresses Tottenham’s need for a reliable centre-forward, alleviating pressure from Son Heung-min and providing competition or rotation options.
Moreover, Solanke’s style fits Ange Postecoglou’s high-pressing game and many will back him to score 20 goals in the league this season.
In other Tottenham news, a claim has emerged as Spurs have launched an approach to sign a £150m-rated player before the transfer deadline.
