Joan Jordan does not fancy joining Rangers this summer and prefers to stay in Spain amid interest from Espanyol, according to the Scottish Sun.

The news outlet reported on 26 July that he’s in limbo despite Sevilla being okay with the loan proposal that would cover 60 per cent of the 30-year-old’s wages for next season.

It’s understood that the Spanish central midfielder does not want to play in Scotland and it looks like Gers will be missing out on one of their main targets.

Jordan’s reluctance to join the club suggests a lack of commitment to the project that Philippe Clement is building at Ibrox.
