Rangers fans are calling for the club to carry out a “serious investigation” into their medical department after they were dealt yet another injury blow.

Rabbi Matondo is the latest star name to fall foul of a muscle injury, having tweaked his hamstring in the Old Firm defeat against Celtic.

Reports have now claimed that the winger will spend 6-8 weeks on the sidelines as the number of injured players at Ibrox continues to grow.

Matondo has joined Ridvan Yilmaz, Oscar Cortes and Danilo on the treatment table, and fans are beginning to grow impatient.

The number of blows keeping players out for several weeks and even months has long been an issue at Rangers, and little appears to be being done to resolve it.

Upon joining the club, Philippe Clement revealed he would be taking steps to reduce the number of injuries, but there has been little change.

Many believed a new winger should have been on the club’s list of priorities during the summer transfer window given the current lack of options.

Despite the arrival of Vaclav Cerny on loan, Clement’s side remains short of options, and Matondo’s injury history has proved fans right in their concerns.

Following the news of his latest blow, angry supporters have taken to social media to express their frustration at the club, the players, and the medical team.

Pulling out of the Edozie deal looks more and more insane.

It’s beyond luck with injuries.

Matondo isn’t good enough but you can’t be content with a squad of players are getting injured constantly.
