Rangers fans: Philippe Clement faces sack after what Ianis Hagi said

Rangers fans are convinced Ianis Hagi could outlast Philippe Clement at Ibrox after the midfielder spoke out about his position yet again.

The Romanian has been cast aside by Clement and made to train with the B team, but after he failed to secure a move away in the summer, he has been speaking about his desire to impress the boss.

In his latest interview, speaking to ProSport while on international duty, Hagi shared: “I’m going back to Rangers. I have one year left on my contract there. I gave two public messages, everyone knows them.

“I love the club, I’m ready to fight for the fans, for what that huge club means in Europe.“

However, despite numerous declarations of love for the club and statements of his desire to play, he remains sidelined by Clement.

Meanwhile, pressure continues to build on the manager’s position given a series of frustrating results and behind-the-scenes issues at Ibrox.

Since the 3-0 defeat to Celtic at Parkhead, and with just three wins from seven games so far this season, the boss is facing a fight to keep his job.

Hagi’s exclusion from the squad is only helping to increase that pressure, and fans have been left fuming at Clement for constantly snubbing a potential improvement to the team.

Fans have been calling for Hagi to be reintroduced to the first team after his performances for the B-team, and those shouts continue to grow louder with each new statement.

The Romanian was once a fans-favourite at Ibrox for his performances in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, during which time he helped the club lift the SPFL title.

Now, Clement’s consistent refusal to integrate him back into his side has raised questions about the boss, leaving fans angry yet again – with many insisting Hagi will outlast his manager.
