Rangers snub lucrative offers after issues at Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest - report

Rangers snubbed lucrative offers from other brands to stick with Kindred Group due to issues faced by Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, according to Rangers Review.

The news outlet claimed on 18 September that the deal agreed with Kindred was by far the biggest in the club’s history for a front-of-shirt agreement.

Their brand Unibet will continue to feature on the front of the strips while 32 Red will be on the training and warm-up kits.

Rangers make the right choice to stick with Kindred

The club’s decision to continue with Kindred, despite more lucrative offers, underscores a strategic choice prioritising stability and brand alignment over immediate financial gain.

Experience of other clubs like Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest might have highlighted the risks of frequent sponsorship changes, including brand inconsistency and potential revenue dips if partnerships sour.

Rangers, by sticking with Kindred Group, are leveraging a known entity that has proven beneficial, ensuring continuity in branding and possibly in fan engagement.

It’s also not that they’re paying a price for it as the financial terms are still highly favourable, perhaps aligning closely with the club’s valuation of stability and historical partnership value over speculative higher bids that might not guarantee sustained success or fan approval.

Gers know just how dire consequences of such things can be and would not want to go down the same route again.
