Rangers work on another two new transfers after Bajrami, triple blitz on cards - report

Rangers are working on two other signings after Nadim Bajrami in the final stages of the transfer window, according to The Fourth Official.

The outlet reported via its Patreon page on Friday (30 August) that Philippe Clement’s side are targeting a last-minute triple blitz at the end of the summer with Bajrami’s move to Glasgow “completely done”.

Clement’s Gers are working hard to secure the signature of Southampton’s Samuel Edozie on loan, but host competition from several Championship sides, with the ball now in the winger’s court.

On top of that, Ibrahim Adel is still being looked at by the Light Blues after his last-minute move to Spain with Getfafe collapsed.

Are Rangers close to any new signings on transfer deadline day?

It is the late, late show at Ibrox this summer. Having had a whole summer to get Clement’s rebuild done and dusted in Glasgow, the Gers board appear to have left all their incoming business until the last hours of the window.

While it is good to see Rangers pull their finger out and begin adding to their ranks, you have to question why it has taken this long for work to get underway.

Even if Clement’s side needed exits to happen first, why didn’t they conclude their outgoings business earlier? Ultimately, they have left themselves underpowered and short of options headlining into the end of the window and the first Old Firm derby.

Hopefully, the Gers manage to get this late blitz over the line before the window slams shut late on Friday night. If they don’t, the Rangers board and management will once again be facing questions from fans and supporters in the coming days.

This could be an interesting last few hours of the summer transfer window on the blue side of Ibrox.
