Barcelona want to sign Mohamed Salah on a free transfer
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona are interested in signing Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah on a free transfer next summer.
The Catalan giants tried to sign Salah in 2022 but Liverpool’s financial demands ruled out a move to Camp Nou.
Now, with Salah out of contract in July, Barcelona view it as the perfect opportunity to finally get their long-term target.
The report further claims that his relationship with Barca ‘remains open’, so it seems there’s a genuine chance of him making the switch to LaLiga.
Though, with all that said, Barca’s number one target is still Athletic Bilbao’s prized asset Nico Williams, who shone at Euro 2024.
Liverpool still want Salah to renew his contract
Liverpool still want Salah to extend his stay on Merseyside so that he can finish his career in the Premier League.
But, they are aware of strong interest from Saudi Arabia, who are going all out to land his signature next year.
Salah, who earns around £350k-a-week, took to X on the weekend after his winner against Brighton and many felt he hinted that this will be his last year at the club.
