Tottenham have spent plenty of money in the Ange Postecoglou era so far but they are already facing interest for one of his most recent signings in January.
Postecoglou has spent big to land the likes of James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Archie Gray to name but a few.
However, it’s fair to say there has been mixed success with those signings, with Solanke among those starting to purr but the likes of Gray and defender, Radu Dragusin, not really getting involved too much.
Indeed, it is Dragusin who is apparently attracting interest in January, with Napoli said to be looking at the Tottenham man alongside an Arsenal outcast.
Napoli want Radu Dragusin but could settle for Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior
According to Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli are desperate to add a new central defender to their ranks in January and are looking to the Premier League.
It’s claimed that Tottenham’s £25m signing Radu Dragusin is the main target, but Spurs are keen to keep hold of the Romanian for now.
Should Dragusin but unattainable, then Napoli could target Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior instead.
Kiwior himself cost Arsenal a fair few million when he signed but like Dragusin, he has failed to cement a regular place in the Gunners back four.
It’s suggested Arsenal are more open to doing business with Kiwior than Spurs are with Dragusin and in the end, that could be the deciding factor.
Dragusin not showing his best at Tottenham
A lot was made when Tottenham splashed out to sign Dragusin from Genoa but in the main, he’s just not delivered so far.
Dragusin was dreadful against Ipswich this weekend as he endured a bit of a nightmare, while Dragusin’s agent continues to talk to certain press about his client’s future, which doesn’t help.
For now, you can see why Tottenham want to keep Dragusin and hope he comes good over time.
But on the field, he needs to start producing and show that he can be an able deputy when the likes of Cristian Romero or Mickey van de Ven are out.
