Thierry Henry might be one of the best players to ever grace a Premier League football pitch but Micah Richards has said Liverpool now have someone who is in the same bracket.
Henry is an all-time great in the game and an Arsenal legend. His goals, assists, and success with France make him standout from the crowd.
However, there are players out there who are pushing the envelope in their own way right now.
Liverpool, of course, are one of the best teams around and have a number of top talents in their ranks.
And according to Micah Richards, one Reds star is right up there with Henry in terms of what he produces.
Micah Richards makes Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry comparison
Speaking on the Rest Is Football podcast, Richards was full of praise for Mohamed Salah and insisted that while he isn’t as ‘easy on the eye’ as Thierry Henry, he’s just as efficient.
“He is definitely underrated. He is a great, isn’t he? He is a great. He is may be not as easy on the eye as a, say, Thierry Henry, but he is, I can’t say more efficient, but he is very efficient in this era of football,” Richards said.
Mo Salah’s Liverpool stats speak for themselves
Liverpool have had some of the best players in the world at Anfield but Mo Salah might end up being the very best they’ve ever had.
Legends like Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard are etched in history while in pure talent terms, the likes of Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres stand out.
Season Mo Salah goals Mo Salah assists 23/24 25 14 22/23 30 16 21/22 31 15 20/21 31 6 19/20 23 13
Salah, though, could make a case for being in both categories. His goals, assists and general ability to produce in big games is huge for Liverpool.
If he does ever leave, with talk of the Saudi league looking at Salah again, then he’ll be a massive void to fill for the Reds.
