Ange Postecoglou may have admitted that he doesn’t have long at Tottenham after what he said about Gary O’Neil and Russell Martin being sacked.
The manager duo were sacked by Wolves and Southampton respectively as both sides have struggled at the bottom end of the Premier League this campaign.
This comes just days after the Spurs manager came under pressure for his side’s performances in defeats against Chelsea and Bournemouth and a draw with Rangers.
Pressure has eased on the Australian after the 5-0 win at St Mary’s on Sunday (15 December) but he is aware that his future in North London isn’t safe.

The former Celtic manager has been responsible for plenty of positivity surrounding N17 since coming in last year.
Despite this, he hasn’t been immune from criticism and has been involved in sack discussions this campaign, but that doesn’t seem to come as a surprise to the manager.
Speaking in his press conference, shared by Ian Abrahams via X (18 December), Postecoglou spoke out about O’Neil and Martin’s sackings and the insecurity of Premier League manager’s jobs.
He said: “It’s crazy, I don’t get it. I don’t know what the average tenure of a Premier League manager is these days but this notion that clubs want to bring managers in to build stuff just doesn’t exist because we all understand that the moment there is a bit of a wobble, they’ll be coming from all areas.
“I think Gary [O’Neil] and Russell [Martin] are outstanding young managers with long careers ahead of them. Unfortunately for them, that is what a manager’s career is going to look like.
“I think you’re going to find that from now on, managers are going to have about 20 clubs on their CV, even the successful ones. The ability for clubs to just stick with one person just doesn’t seem like it’s feasible any more.”
The Aussie head coach appears to understand that his time at Spurs could end at any point.
Daniel Levy could opt to pull the trigger soon but it is certainly worth allowing Postecoglou to build and push up the Premier League.
