Report shares name of band that could perform at Everton's Goodison farewell

The La’s could reformed for Goodison Park’s farewell concert before Everton move to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported [16 October] that Liverpool Council is already discussing the logistics for the Toffees’ goodbye party at Goodison Park, with a potential reunion for the band for “old time’s sake”.

Everton are set for a new and exciting move to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium in time for the 2025/26 campaign, having been at Goodison Park since 1892.

Everton to leave Goodison Park after 132 years

Leaving Goodison Park after 132 years will be an extremely emotional moment for the Toffees, but it also marks an extremely exciting time ahead for the fans.

The club’s future looked to be hanging in the balance as Farhad Moshiri searched for a potential buyer, and with Dan Friedkin now closing in on a deal, there is no telling how high the Toffees will fly.

Coming into the club as a billionaire, the Toffees will be able to put all of their financial concerns behind them and look into the future, with the potential for new signings at their brand-new stadium.

The La’s playing ‘There She Goes’ at Goodison Park before moving across Merseyside ahead of the new season would be the perfect goodbye song for those with connections to the current ground.

Stepping into Goodison Park is the best part of many fans’ matchday experience, with history lining the walls, but the Toffees are set to make new memories as the club enters into a new era.

Of course, the main focus will be securing Premier League safety and Sean Dyche’s side looks to be turning a corner following a dreadful start to the campaign, but they are far from safe just yet.

Upcoming clashes against Ipswich Town, Fulham, Southampton and West Ham will be extremely telling before the next international break.

In other Everton news, a journalist believes the Toffees might have just scored a massive own-goal.
