Report shares what Everton are reviewing to solve injury issues at Finch Farm

Sean Dyche’s Everton have been hit hard by injuries so far this season and internal investigations have been ongoing to determine the primary cause, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The newspaper reported on Tuesday (8 October) how the club are seeking to explain why they have been hit so hard by injuries in the early weeks of the campaign and have even launched a review to their approach to pre-season.

Jarrad Branthwaite, Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko are just three of the key players who have had time on the sidelines, with Sean Dyche now seeking answers as to the root cause.

Everton takeover could prove crucial for club future

An impending takeover could signal the start of good fortune for Everton, who certainly need a clean slate and a significant amount of investment to get the club back to where it should be.

It was reported that Everton aimed to strengthen their backline in the summer with concerns over the regular availability of the likes of Mykolenko, Patterson and Seamus Coleman, however a lack of available funds prevented this as other areas of the squad were prioritised.

In an ideal word you sense that Dyche would have liked to have increased his options in both full-back areas but with reinforcement made to his to midfield and attack, it was decided to go with what they had – especially given the versatility of someone like James Garner meant it was not quite as pressing an issue.

The Toffees made a difficult start to the campaign but headed into the international break with five points from three games and if they can get approval for Dan Friedkin’s takeover in the coming months then there is much more reason for optimism.

In other Everton news, Everton have launched an advertement as they’re looking to hire a performance analyst for the men’s first team.
