Arsenal have now confirmed Eddie Nketiah’s move to Crystal Palace but there could still be more business to do beyond 11pm.
The transfer deadline is now upon us and Arsenal have been busy.
Goalkeeper Neto has completed his move from Bournemouth, replacing Aaron Ramsdale following his move to Southampton.
Eddie Nketiah has now departed the club for Crystal Palace, finally completing his move to Selhurst Park.
That isn’t the end of the business though as Arsenal not only close in on another signing but potentially allow another player to move on.
Raheem Sterling to Arsenal latest
Arsenal are now set to add another attacking option to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Reports in recent days have linked Raheem Sterling with a move from Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium.
Chelsea have axed Sterling from their squad and want him to leave him the club having been ditched by Enzo Maresca.
Arsenal are now moving in on and reports claim that the Gunners believe Sterling is ‘really enthusiastic’ about a move to North London.
Sterling knows Arteta from their time at Manchester City and a reunion is now imminent.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solekhol claims that Sterling has now arrived at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground to finalise his move.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein backs that up, stating that Sterling is set to undergo a medical ahead of a loan deal with Arsenal.
Reiss Nelson transfer twist
As Sterling prepares to join, it looks like Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson will be moving on.
Reports suggested that Ipswich Town were on the verge of signing Nelson on loan.
The Tractor Boys are looking to avoid relegation back to the Championship and were looking for Nelson to make a big impact.
There may be a twist in the tale though as TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook claims Fulham are suddenly ‘leading the race’ for Nelson.
Fulham have been chasing a new wide man on deadline day and were hoping to land Ghanaian talent Ernest Nuamah.
Fabrizio Romano claims Nuamah to Fulham is now off though and Marco Silva’s side now appear to be making a late push for Nelson.
Arsenal will sign Sterling regardless but Ipswich and Fulham are left to fight it out for Nelson right until the very end.
