Revealed: Liverpool superstar makes up his mind on mega-rich Saudi offer

Alisson Becker has rejected a “massive” offer to quit Liverpool and sign for Saudi club Al-Nassr this summer, sources have told Football Insider. 

Al-Nassr are in the market for a new goalkeeper, but the Brazil international has no plans to join the Saudi Pro League club after turning down the opportunity.

Sources say the Middle Eastern side have now turned their attention towards signing Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, 34, once the transfer window reopens.

Alisson, 31, is still firmly the No.1 at Liverpool and is under contract at Anfield until 2027.

There have been plenty of changes at Liverpool recently, with Arne Slot replacing Jurgen Klopp as manager, while Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes have joined behind the scenes.

But Alisson looks likely to be staying put on Merseyside for now after turning down a summer move to Al-Nassr.

The Brazilian has been the undisputed first choice at Anfield since joining the club in a £67million deal from Roma in 2018.

The goalkeeper has made 263 appearances for Liverpool during that time, keeping 114 clean sheets in the process, 11 of which came in his 32 outings last season.

Caoimhin Kelleher, 25, has played backup to Alisson over the past couple of years, but he could leave Merseyside this summer if a suitable offer is made for his services.

Football Insider revealed the Irishman is planning to push for a move away from Anfield as he wants to secure more regular first-team football elsewhere.

James Trafford, 21, has been identified as a potential replacement after Football Insider first revealed on 27 May Liverpool and Newcastle are set to go head-to-head to land the Burnley goalkeeper this summer.

In other news, Liverpool have been told to accept a “£100m” offer for Mohamed Salah.
