Sources: Bournemouth boss Iraola on radar of top Premier League clubs

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is being monitored by elite clubs in the Premier League and Spain’s La Liga, sources have told Football Insider.

The Cherries boss, 42, has impressed onlookers with his transformation of the south coast club since succeeding Gary O’Neil last year (2023).

Iraola’s side have established themselves as one of the best pressing outfits in the Premier League and lead the way for possession won in the final third this season.

The Spaniard has implemented an aggressive, hard-working philosophy at the Vitality Stadium which has brought historic results.

However, his contract at Bournemouth is only set to run until June 2026.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (17 December) that the Cherries want to secure the future of manager Iraola by kicking off talks over a new long-term deal.

Bournemouth’s ambitious owners now want to build on the project they put in place following the controversial sacking of O’Neil after he kept them up in the 2022-23 campaign.

Iraola in demand as Bournemouth plan contract talks

The Cherries currently sit sixth in the Premier League table after drawing 1-1 against West Ham on Monday (16 December).

Nottingham Forest sit fourth but Bournemouth are only three points away from the Champions League spots after 16 games of the 2024-25 campaign.

Iraola achieved a 12th-place finish last term and recorded a club-record 48 points in the Premier League over 38 games.

The Spaniard’s side are next in action against Ruben Amorim’s Man United on Sunday (22 December).
