Stevie Clifford raises Bajrami questions at Rangers ahead of showdown v Kilmarnock

Stevie Clifford has been left questioning if Nedim Bajrami can hit form for Rangers over the next month ahead of the clash with Kilmarnock.

The Light Blues travel to Rugby Park on Sunday (20 October) as they look to get back to winning ways after the October international break against Derek McInnes’ side.

While the door has been opened to close the gap to Celtic after their draw with Aberdeen, Four Lads host Clifford has called upon Bajrami to “carry the team forward” over the next month at Ibrox.

Writing for The Rangers Review on Saturday (19 October) he said: “Perhaps it’s time for some of the players Clement has invested in to hit form and carry the team forward, or maybe it’s time for some of the old guard to show their worth?

“Whoever it is, Clement needs players to come to the fore and find form.

“Can Nedim Bajrami hit the type of form he’s hinted at so far and become the No.10 this squad needs, or will a role for the Albanian on the left persist due to injury issues?”

What has happened to Nedim Bajrami at Rangers after Ibrox transfer?

There is no doubting the fact that this could be a season-defining month for Rangers and Philippe Clement in Glasgow.

Rangers have some huge fixtures both domestically and in the Europa League that they simply have to perform in if they have any hopes of getting their hands on silverware between now and the end of the campaign.

In these sorts of games, your big players have to step up and Bajrami is one of those players.

The Albanian international has shown flashes of brilliance so far in Gers colours, now he has to show he has what it takes to be the main man week in and week out.

While the clash with Kilmarnock won’t be easy for the Light Blues, it represents the perfect opportunity for both Bajrami and his teammates to get back to winning ways after the international break and build some momentum ahead of the next month.

Hopefully, the Albanian international and his teammates will show exactly what they are capable of.
