Super Computer makes new Everton relegation prediction after West Ham draw

Everton are predicted to narrowly avoid relegation by the Opta Super Computer after they played out a stalemate with West Ham on Saturday.

The Toffees responded to their 1-0 loss to Southampton last weekend with a 0-0 draw with the Irons at the London Stadium on 9 November.

Sean Dyche’s side are currently placed 16th in the table, sitting four points above the relegation zone, and are tipped to finish in the same position with around 39 points.

Everton have enough to survive despite West Ham draw

This season has been frustrating for the Merseyside-based club so far, having managed only two wins in 11 league games.

The defeat against Southampton last week brought an end to their five-game unbeaten run and they now have to build on the draw at West Ham to steer clear from the drop zone.

Going by the algorithm, Saturday’s result has not affected Everton’s chances of avoiding relegation much as they were predicted to finish 16th after their loss to the Saints as well.

However, fans should not read too much into the prediction as it is formulated by Opta’s Super Computer and football can be unpredictable.

There are chances that the Goodison Park outfit finish higher or lower than predicted and that is why Dyche and Co. start picking up more wins as opposed to draws.

Regardless of what happens in the league on Sunday (10 November), the club will remain sixteenth until after the international break.

However, they face Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in what could be a season-defining December for them.

In other Everton news, Dele Alli could end up playing non-league football after the latest developments.
