'That is true' - Club chief reacts as Rangers reportedly hold talks for new striker transfer

Rapid Bucharest owner Dan Sucu has responded to questions surrounding Albion Rrahmani’s potential transfer to Rangers this summer.

Sucu has attempted to quell the speculation surrounding the 23-year-old Kosovo international but did not confirm whether or not he will stay at the club this summer.

This comes after Gers have opened talks to secure the transfer which could be in the region of £6.8million. [Digisport, 6 June]

Sucu said, as quoted by the Daily Record on 13 June: “Are there concrete offers for Albion Rrahmani? Any chance he’ll leave? Have you priced it? I would like to do it differently, if possible. Let’s bet where all that information will be found, if it will be confirmed and if it will be relevant, directly from the Rapid website! And you will find that out there and not from other sources.”

“We live in a competitive climate, that is true.

“But information about your decisions, ideas and intentions should remain, as much as possible, within the club. If there is a competitor who would like to learn our information or buy our players they will have to know it from us and not other sources.”

Rangers must capitalise on this uncertainty and seal Albion Rrahmani’s transfer

Gers must capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding Rrahmani’s potential transfer from Rapid Bucharest.

Sucu’s evasive response to questions about Rrahmani’s future indicates that the club is open to selling the player, despite the owner’s attempts to keep the situation under wraps.

The £6.8million valuation for the Kosovo international is a significant investment, but the 23-year-old striker’s impressive goal-scoring record and potential make him an attractive target for the Ibrox outfit.

His ability to lead the line and make a difference in the final third could greatly benefit the Scottish club, especially as they look to replace the outgoing Kemar Roofe.

By acting swiftly and decisively, Gers can secure Rrahmani’s services before other interested clubs intensify their efforts.

Kemar Roofe will leave Rangers

The competition for Rrahmani’s signature is likely to increase as the transfer window progresses, making it crucial for the Scottish giants to move quickly and seal the deal.

In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement will now tell a first-team player to clear out his locker at Ibrox as a development has emerged from Glasgow.
