Thomas Tuchel to England: Fans all say the same thing after Sky Sports update

England fans are excited about the prospect of Thomas Tuchel taking charge of the team after a new report has linked him to the position.

According to Sky Sports, the former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss is in talks with the FA and is in “pole position” to take over from Gareth Southgate.

The 51-year-old has been out of work since May when his time in charge of Bayern Munich ended, but well-placed sources told Football Insider that Man United have been lining him up to replace Erik ten Hag.

The FA have accelerated their managerial search since the humiliating defeat against Greece last Thursday in the Nations League.

Lee Carsley took over from Southgate on an interim basis and will remain in that position for the two Nations League fixtures in November.

Carsley has won three out of the four games he has overseen but has provided some confusing messages to the media about whether he’s in the running to take on the position full-time.

England fans are thrilled by the idea of Thomas Tuchel as manager

Tuchel has never coached at international level before, but he does have a track record of winning trophies and was named the Best FIFA Football Coach in 2021.

The German coach guided Chelsea to winning the Champions League in 2020-21, and has won trophies with PSG, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich.
