Kylian Mbappe sends message to fans after shock allegations

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe took to social media to let fans know he’s ‘Back to work’ after Swedish police launched an investigation into sexual assault allegations aimed at him.

According to Swedish outlet Aftonbladet, the authorities are investigating an incident that happened at the Bank Hotel in Stockholm on Thursday (October 10)

The 25-year-old was staying in the same hotel with friends from Wednesday to Friday last week, courting controversy for visiting a nightclub while his France teammates were playing Israel.

Mbappe took to X, formally known as Twitter, to deny the allegations, saying, “FAKE NEWS !!!! It’s becoming so predictable, just before the hearing as if by chance.”

The allegations come days before the hearing on Tuesday (October 15) regarding £46million that Paris Saint-Germain have been ordered to pay Mbappe in unpaid bonuses and wages.

By his high standards, it’s been an underwhelming start to life at Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappe, scoring just four open-play goals in 11 appearances across all competitions.

His other three goals have all come from the penalty spot, with the reigning Spanish champions awarded five penalties in their first seven La Liga matches.

Mbappe, took to Instagram to let fans know that he is focussing on his football after the allegations against him came out.

The Frenchman has been out of action for the past three weeks after picking up a knock in Real Madrid’s 3-2 La Liga win over Alaves.

The club have now confirmed that he is back in individual training and could be set to feature in their upcoming league clash with Celta Vigo on Saturday (October 19).
