Sergio Reguilon is prepared to leave Tottenham by terminating his £120,000-a-week contract, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The newspaper reported in its print edition [24 November, page 66] that the left-back is gaining interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, allowing him to cut ties with Spurs.
The 27-year-old has not appeared for the North London outfit since 2022 and despite loan spells with Manchester United and Brentford last season, he has also been unable to secure a permanent move away so far.
An exit right for Reguilion and Tottenham
Though Tottenham paid a £32million fee for the defender back in 2020, they will just have to cut their losses here and get the player off the books which in itself would save them considerable money.
The Spaniard has been out in the cold for a long while now and despite managerial changes, this has not changed meaning there is no chance of seeing him in a Spurs shirt again.
During his loan spell with Brentford last season, the player was able to tally up four assists in 16 appearances showing that he has a chance of reviving his career if he can make the right move now and leave North London.
If a deal can be made between the player and club to agree on an exit as the January transfer window looms, it will no doubt be a relief for both parties with this one resigned to be a signing that did not work out.
In other Tottenham news, a new transfer development has given Spurs a major boost in their pursuit of one player.
