Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the possibility of signing Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist (1 August) has reported that while it may be a difficult deal to get done, Ange Postecoglou wants to bring in both a new striker and another winger.
It comes after rumblings that Solanke could be interested in a move to Spurs (Bryan King, 25 May).
Solanke could revitalise Tottenham
Last season served as a real baptism of fire for Postecoglou. With that being said, he came through it.
Plus, he’s always had his eyes on the summer transfer window. When it comes to forwards, it’s been said that he’s “crying out” for a new man up top to really lead the line.
Either way, you could do a lot worse than Solanke.
We’re talking about a man who played a huge role in helping Bournemouth secure a twelfth-place Premier League finish. He scored 19 goals and picked up three assists (FBref) in a campaign that really highlighted just how crucial he is for the Cherries.
It’s tough to say whether or not Solanke is the big chance needed to get Spurs back into the top four. What is true, though, is that he’s got the whole package.
He’s big, he’s strong, and he’s consistent in front of goal. With a host of star players to work alongside him, the Englishman can thrive in this environment.
In other Tottenham news, Hutton has suggested Scott McTominay would fit in “seamlessly” at Spurs.
