'Unbelievable' - BBC Sportscene pundit wowed by Rangers footage v Hibernian

Cammy Bell was stunned by Tom Lawrence and Ross McCausland as Rangers won 1-0 against Hibernian at Ibrox on 29 September.

The Wales international curled home a stunner to claim the victory after good work from his winger to win the ball back.

Rangers managed to secure another win with a clean sheet, with Jack Butland also to thank after his penalty save at the end of the first half.

Speaking on BBC Sportscene on 29 September over the footage, Bell wasn’t just impressed with the finish that was enough for all three points.

“It was an unbelievable finish,” he said.

“It was a brilliant bit of play from McCausland sliding him in, and then he has just cut inside onto his right foot and managed to just glide it into the top corner.”

It has been a brilliant few weeks for Lawrence.

Philippe Clement has backed him as his main playmaker and he was been rewarded with back-to-back winning goals against Hibs and Dundee United.

Staying fit has always been the main issue for the Wales international, and his form has attracted attention from his new national boss, Craig Bellamy, who has held talks [Phil Cadden].

McCausland also capped off a great week to follow his goal against Malmo in the Europa League, with Chris Jack getting his wish for him to start against Hibs.

It wasn’t the best of performances from the Bears, but collecting three points is all that matters at this stage of the season with momentum starting to build now.

If Lawrence can continue this type of form, there is no reason as to why Rangers cannot get back in contention for the Scottish Premiership title, but he will need more help.
