View: 89% Everton ace repays Sean Dyche's faith after what he did v Fulham

Idrissa Gueye has repaid the faith that Sean Dyche has shown with an excellent performance for Everton against Fulham on Saturday 26 October.

The Toffees stole a point late on at Goodison Park as substitute Beto scored four minutes into six minutes of added time to make it 1-1.

This came after Alex Iwobi scored against his former side to give the Cottagers the lead earlier in the second half.

Despite Beto getting the plaudits for the equaliser, Gueye had a telling impact in the engine room for Dyche’s side on the night (26 October).

The 35-year-old has come under fire from some sections of supporters for his performances, especially earlier in the season.

With the Senegal international starting, it has potentially hampered opportunities for younger options like James Garner or Tim Iroegbunam – albeit the former has also had injury issues to contend with and has had to fill in at full-back.

Despite this, Gueye will have received nothing but praise for his performance against Fulham which saw him break up play on multiple occasions.

This saw him register four tackles with an 80 per cent success rate while also contributing with two interceptions and seven recoveries [FotMob].

Adding to this, the ex-PSG star also won 11 duels with an 84 per cent win rate which was superb up against the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Raul Jimenez.

The defensive-minded midfielder wasn’t afraid to help out going forward as he completed two dribbles and provided six passes into the final third.

These were six of his 41 passes which he completed with an 89 per cent accuracy which kept the Toffees ticking.

Despite not securing a win, it was a positive result in the end to secure a point and Gueye certainly played a big role for Dyche in taking that away.
