Ange Postecoglou needs to take off Timo Werner for Tottenham after an anonymous first half against Coventry City.

Spurs have gone in at the interval at The Coventry Building Society Arena somewhat fortunate to be on level terms.

Given that only one has been into the final third and zero per cent of his crosses have found their target, going forward Werner has not been good enough.

This has seen the 28-year-old fail to register a single shot in his 45-minute showing while only having two touches in the Coventry penalty area.

For a winger, his dribbling has once again been shocking. The summer signing has had three attempts but has been rumbled each time with a zero per cent competition rate.

There hasn’t been any positivity for the ex-RB Leipzig star defensively given that he has lost three duels and made just one block and clearance.

With the likes of Heung-Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison on the bench, Postecoglou has to hook Werner to take charge of the game.
