View: Delight for Vilahamn as 67% Tottenham Women star returns to goalscoring ways

Robert Vilahamn will be delighted to see Tottenham Women striker Martha Thomas back among the goals.

Thomas made a fantastic start to life in North London following her arrival from Manchester United Women last summer.

Her form gradually declined, with the striker failing to find the back of the net in any of her last five Spurs appearances of the season.

However, Vilahamn will have been pleased to see her back among the goals on international duty.

Thomas was on target and provided an assist as Scotland Women beat Israel Women 4-1 in their UEFA Euro 2025 qualifier in Glasgow on Friday (31 May).

Martha Thomas must improve for Tottenham Women next season

Vilahamn will hope that Thomas’ performance for Scotland gives her some confidence ahead of next season.

The 28-year-old struggled toward the end of the 2023/24 campaign, and while she did grab an assist on the final day of the WSL season in a 3-1 win over West Ham Women (18 May), that was about all she did.

As per Sofascore, Thomas only completed 67 per cent of her passes, with just one of those key.

In addition, she completed just one of her three dribbles and gave possession away seven times.

She also won just one of her five ground duels while being dribbled past once.

It was a subpar end to the season, and Thomas will hope to bring her Scotland form back to Hotspur Way next year.
