Exclusive: West Ham submit multiple Nwosu offers

West Ham are fighting hard to keep hold of teenage sensation Chinaza Nwosu, sources have told Football Insider.

The east Londoners have been made aware of interest from multiple top Premier League sides keen on securing his signature this summer.

As a result, West Ham have made a series of professional contract offers to the midfielder in an attempt to fend off rivals and keep hold of their gem.

Nwosu, 16, has represented England at under-15 and under-16 levels and is regarded as one of the brightest prospects at the the Irons academy.

As one of the most exciting prospects to come through at the London Stadium in recent years, Nwosu has been playing up in the age groups for the academy side.

He featured 12 times for West Ham’s under-18s side last season and was named on the bench for the FA Youth Cup third-round clash.

Having only turned 16 last month, the midfielder will not be eligible to sign a professional deal until his 17th birthday under FA regulations.

However, that has not prevented the Hammers from making several offers with a view to a deal being signed when he turns 17.

With multiple top Premier League outfits monitoring his situation, the midfielder has no shortage of options.

Frustrations at West Ham grew with the lack of opportunities handed to young players under David Moyes, with questions raised over their developing talent.

However, the arrival of Julen Lopetegui could open a pathway for the brightest academy stars, including Nwosu as they bid to keep him at the London Stadium.
