Rangers sacking emerges as fury erupts over Ibrox debacle - report

The Project Manager in charge of adding the disability section at Ibrox this summer has been fired by Rangers due to the recent stadium blunder, according to the Scottish Sun.

This comes after work on the Copland Road stand has been hit with a “delay” that is set to keep the Gers out of their stadium for the entirety of August.

It means that the first five games of their season are now set to be moved elsewhere.

What comes next for Rangers?

This summer transfer window was set to be full of change for Phillipe Clement’s side with the manager already making three additions to his squad.

However with the Ibrox debacle currently at hand, attention may be turned towards finding a new home for the team.

Talks around Bayern Munich gem Yusuf Kabadayi are still ongoing whilst a move for Aberdeen’s Connor Barron looks to be wrapped up already.

Although many areas within the Glasgow-based outfit’s squad will need upgrading this summer, the Belgian manager is already well underway with his additions.

Granted, it isn’t the be-all and end-all if Rangers can’t play at home for their opening games, however, without the Ibrox crowd present at games, the Gers could lose some of their motivation.

This news will definitely be something for fans to keep their eye on as the summer progresses.

In other Rangers news, an update in regard to the future of James Tavernier has been shared.
