Sean Dyche will surely be anxious regarding his Everton future after Dan Friedkin sacked his third AS Roma manager in 11 months.
The Friedkin Group terminated Ivan Juric’s contract after only 12 matches in charge following the 3-2 loss against Bologna on Sunday [10 November].
As per the Liverpool Echo [12 November], Friedkin called Juric immediately after the defeat to inform him of his decision, leaving him no time to return to the dressing room at the Stadio Olimpico before he was fired.
Dyche has faced an uncertain future all season and the ruthless approach taken with Juric could befall the Blues boss if he doesn’t find a way to get results at Goodison Park.
Dan Friedkin shows Sean Dyche insight into his potential future at Everton
Nowadays it seems all roads lead to Everton moving to Bramley-Moore Dock at the end of the season without Dyche in charge.
Even the man himself is reportedly reservedly accepting the fact his time on Merseyside will soon end and while this may remain the case, there is time for a remarkable turnaround.
The Friedkin Group is unwilling to take such drastic action this close to the proposed takeover [Ian Croll] biding Dyche ample time to change the perception of him on Merseyside and lay down a statement of intent.
Everton are only two points clear of the relegation zone and face tough matches ahead with Manchester United, Merseyside rivals Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City to be played in December.
While the Blues will not be fancied in any of those fixtures, Dyche would be in a good position to stake a claim for a new deal if he can get his side past the Premier League elite unscathed.
However, the side has failed to show the form required to complete such a feat and has been unable to put up points against some of the weaker sides in the division – in the face of the best, it seemingly will only go one way.
Dyche will only be removed from the Goodison Park helm in the case a “dire emergency” arises [ BBC Sport] and, with the threat of a fourth consecutive relegation battle becoming a real possibility, the conditions required for removal are not far away.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche will now be concerned about Jarrad Branthwaite at the Toffees after the latest England development.
