Sean Dyche could save his Everton job as long as Iliman Ndiaye keeps on playing to the “absolutely superb” level he showed in their 0-0 Premier League stalemate against Brentford.

Ndiaye is arguably the best transfer that Dyche made in the summer as he managed to fill one of the key areas in his squad that needed strengthening.

The attacker may not have been involved in all that many goals for the Toffees this season but his work off the ball and the amount of ground he covers shows why he’s currently undroppable from Everton’s starting XI.

Writing via his personal X account (23 November), journalist Connor O’Neil hailed the performance of the Senegal international and shared why he thinks he was “absolutely superb”.

“Iliman Ndiaye has been absolutely superb for #EFC this afternoon,” he wrote.

“Not only is [he] the Blues’ most creative player, but he also puts in some shift from a defensive point of view.”

Everton ace Iliman Ndiaye could be key to Sean Dyche saving his job

Everton currently sit 16th in the Premier League and are receiving some rightful scrutiny from both fans and pundits alike.

Dyche, in particular, has had many questions thrown around regarding his future, with fans more often than not calling for his head this season.

As aforementioned, Ndiaye’s arrival is arguably the best thing that Kevin Thelwell and Dyche did in the summer because, without him this season, they’d be far worse off.

Of course, Dwight McNeil has also been a key cog in the Toffees’ team this season, but there’s just something about the Senegal international that seems to make him stand out from the crowd.

Only time will tell if the former Sheffield United man can be the cause of Dyche keeping his job but if he manages to do so, the Englishman will have an awful lot to thank the attacker for.

In other Everton news, Gary Lineker has reacted to a “ludicrous” moment in the Toffees’ 0-0 stalemate against Brentford.
