View: Todd Cantwell seems set for Rangers exit very soon as new transfer update drops

One thing that was near-guaranteed to happen at Rangers this summer was that there would be a large number of changes within the club.

This has already happened with the likes of John Lundstram and Borna Barisic departing the club upon the expiry of their contracts.

In addition to the transfers out of the squad, there have already been several arrivals, with Jefte and Clinton Nsiala two of those.

Three have so far been confirmed with two more in Liam Kelly [the Daily Record, 20 June] and Connor Barron [Daily Record, 19 June] both edging closer to becoming Rangers players this summer.

Despite many players already being transferred out by Phillipe Clement, more could still be on their way out.

The club are now ready to listen to offers for Todd Cantwell, according to the Scottish Sun [20 June].

Why Todd Cantwell could be on his way out of Rangers

The former Norwich man was Michael Beale’s first signing as manager of the Glasgow outfit.

Although his move to Scotland turned the heads of many, over the time he has plied his trade for the club, he hasn’t really hit the ground running since his first six months at the club.

His form this season has picked up somewhat with the midfielder involving himself in 15 goals this term, but his output isn’t to the levels which were expected of him.

But, with his solid run of form, it feels like now would be as good of a time as any for the Gers to cash in on the 26-year-old and reinvest the money gained across their squad.

Several additions have already been made by Clement to his squad this summer.

And, if Rangers want to dethrone rivals Celtic this term, this will have to continue and they will have to be on top form and ensure their squad is bursting at the seams with talent.

It looks to be starting very soon with Cantwell now set for the exit door.
